Sagada is the 5th class municipality of Mountain Province in the Philippines. It is located in the North 275 km. North of Manila, 140 km. from baguio, and it is adjacent to Bontoc - the capital of Mountain Province.
It was always my dream to reach this beautiful place - a silent sanctuary, the Shangri-la of the Philippines. I have read a lot of blogs about this small town in Mountain Province. I promised that one day I will see those hanging coffins, the burial cave, the sumaguing cave and the famous Bomod-Ok falls.
It was 2011 when my friends and I decided to visit my dream place. I was very excited that time.
Contacted guides, arranged hotel where we will stay, and the transportation going there and during our tour.
Luckily, one of the guides in Sagada, Mr. Gareth Likigan has a blog site. Sir Gareth is a member of Sagada Genuine Guides Association (SaGGAs). It's a one stop shop in his blog site. You can find everything about Sagada there - from guides, to hotels, rates, transpo infos, where to go, etc. Everything.
After arranging everything and a little bit haggling, we're already set to my last out of town trip to my dream SAGADA with the following itinerary:
