SAGADA AdvenTOUR: Day 1 (Part 3) - Visiting Lumiang Burial Cave

It was already 12:30pm of December 27, 2011 when we reached the town of Sagada.  We headed directly to the Tourist Information Center in Sagada's Municipal Hall, to register.
All tourist are required to register.  Your guide can do it for you too.

We paid, 20 pesos each for the environmental fee.

After registration we check-in at Residential Lodge owned by Ate Mary..... and she gave me and Christy this coin purse......... as a souvenir.  And I've been using this coin purse for almost 2 years.... kailangan ko nga lang labhan na ulit haha!
Maganda  talaga pagkakahabi nito....

Since di pa kami kumakain, after magbihis naghanap na agad ng pwedeng kainan.  Then we decided to eat lunch at Cordillera Inn.

Right after lunch, pahinga lang saglit, then pinuntahan namin ang aming guide na si Kuya Sotero.
This is it! Pancit haha!

1st stop.......... after a not so long walk from SaGGAs office..... Lumiang Burial Cave here we come!

That's it! Here we are at Lumiang Burial Cave! wowwww! can't believe that we're here na!
Lumiang Burial Cave has piled coffins at the entrance of the cave.

Lumiang Burial Cave, on the other hand, is known for the piled coffins of the early people buried inside it. These coffins can be found at the entrance to Lumiang Cave. After entering, it will lead you to a stiff, narrow, and difficult trail to its end, passing to Sumaguing Cave. The Lumiang to Sumaguing connection is best for more daring cavers. - See more at: http://www.e-philippines.com.ph/philippine-tourist-destinations/sagada-travel-and-tour-packages/where-to-go-sagada-tourist-spots/#sthash.BptDjHNz.dpuf

SAGADA AdvenTOUR: Day 1 (Part 2) - Bontoc Museum

Bontoc is a 3rd class municipality of Mountain Province.  It is the historical capital of the entire Cordillera region since the inception of the governance in the Cordillera.  It is the home of the Bontoc Tribe, a feared war-like group of indigenous people who actively indulged in tribal wars.

After long jeepney ride, finally I saw the Mountain Province capital - Bontoc.

We headed directly to the Museum...

Learn in the museum....

Are they still engaged in tribe war?..........

Our past life.....

After 30 minutes, we left Bontoc and headed to my dream place.... Sagada.

Up next, Sagada here I am!

SAGADA AdvenTOUR: Day 1 (Part 1) - On the Road Going to Banaue, Mountain Province

December 26, 2011 around 7:00pm we're already at Ohayami Terminal in Sampaloc, Manila ready for a road trip going to Mountain Province.

A lot of passengers bound to the North waiting at the terminal.
Mabilis napuno ang mga bus papuntang Banaue.  It's December so expected na maraming pasahero.  (Better to reserved a seat before your travel date para sigurado kayo na may mauupuan kayo.)

our bus going to Bontoc, Mountain Province

Marami kaming kasabay sa bus na foreigners.  Marami din namang locals.
There's this nun na taga dun sa bayan before Banaue (sorry i forgot the place).
Katabi namin sya ni Christy sa upuan.  Panay kwento nya about sa kanyang assignments at being a nun.......

Kanya-kanyang diskarte.

Nagulat kami and hinanap ang snow!
We laugh when sister said : "AY! GALING YAN SA UNAN KO!"
Nabutas pala yong dala nyang unan at lahat ng laman nun sumabog na sa sahig nung bus.  May nag-joke pa ng: "Ito namang si sister! kala tuloy namin kaya sobrang lamig kc nag-i-snow na!"
Tanggal antok namin sa kakatawa!

It was already 6:30am of December 27, 2011 but we're still on the road.  Our guide Kuya Sotero keep on calling and texting me kung nasan na daw kami.  They were already at Banaue para sunduin kami.

Around 7:30am na when we arrived at Banaue.  We met Kuya Sotero, our guide and told him that we'll gonna eat breakfast first.

There's a resto in Banaue named "People's Lodge and Resto".  I read a lot of good reviews about this resto.  So we decided to  try their breakfast.  The place is great.  Overlooking at the rice terraces.
Again, a lot of foreigners too at the resto.

my breakfast

the rice terraces

After eating breakfast, we headed to Bontoc, Mountain Province.  But before we left Banaue, one group picture muna hehe..

We planned a stop over at the Banaue Rice Terraces View Point (the one in 1000 pesos), but the weather didn't permit us.  Sobrang kapal kasi ng fog.  But thanks.  I still have the reason to be back at Sagada haha!

The Banaue - Bontoc - Sagada route is not that easy.... you need an expert driver for this route.
That's what we did.  We rented na jeepney na bumibyahe talaga from Sagada to Banaue.

Up next, our stop at Bontoc Museum.....
