MY JOURNEY TO THE PHILIPPINES 3rd HIGHEST MOUNTAIN, MT. PULAG

December 26, 2008 together with COSROG mountaineers we're all set to my 1st major climb in Mt. Pulag and we're gonna take the Akiki-Ambangeg trail.  Akiki trail is considered as the killer trail which will took 2 days before reaching the saddle camp - the camp near the Mt. Pulag summit.

Mt. Pulag is the 3rd highest mountain in the Philippines.  It is Luzon's highest peak at 2,922 meters above sea level.

Around 12:00am of December 27, 2008 we're already on the road going to Baguio.

We arrived around 5:00am.  Had a light breakfast and started a roadtrip going to Benguet.  It took a long hours from Baguio to our jump off but i enjoyed riding on top of the jeep.

Going to be a hard 2 days walking on a sunny weather.  Sleeping in an unfamiliar places.
But I can't back out anymore haha!  Let's start our journey to the beautiful mountain of Benguet.  AJA!

We stopped at the Ambuklaw dam.

Took some rest and started trekking to the mountain.

kaya pa ba?

After lunch, again started trekking.
We're passing the mossy forest and we're advised na wag maghihiwa-hiwalay kc kadalasan may mga nawawala sa lugar na un.  Natakot naman ako bigla!

But I didt it!
At last nakakita na ako ng liwanag!
